Innovative Systems is a design competition challenging engineers, designers, architects, students, and artists to generate innovative ideas that address global dependence on fossil fuels. The hexagons represent benzene rings, a common structure formed by carbon. Carbon is the foundation of all organic matter and finding new ways of approaching it is one of many potential routes for more sustainable energy.
